American author of the Dr. Arthur Lyons series and a nationally known medical examiner for over 30 years.
Dr. Arthur Lyons has been brought to life by Dr. William R. Anderson who has practiced as a Forensic Pathologist for a little over 30 years both in private practice and as both associate and deputy chief medical examiner in a number of jurisdictions in California, Georgia, and Florida.
He has had a wealth of experience in the evaluation, analysis and prosecution/defense of criminal cases as medical examiner in both the criminal and civil justice systems, as well as the study of a vast array of natural disease outcomes in the evaluation of cause and manner of death in cases coming under the jurisdiction of the medical examiner.
During this time, he has been involved in both service pathology and educational activities that have included Director of a post-graduate training program for forensic pathologists in training, and numerous workshops, conferences and lectures to the medical and legal communities.
Dr. Anderson has had significant interaction with physicians practicing clinical and trauma medicine and has authored a textbook integrating forensic and clinical practice: Forensic Science in Clinical Medicine published by Lippincott-Raven in the early 2000’s.
The experiences and knowledge gained from this multi-faceted medical practice are integrated into the present endeavor, that fictionally explores various aspects of the interactions between the medical and legal communities—based upon actual events and cases.
